Rewrite

You don’t need to know what’s next to know you’re ready for something different.

A 3-hour workshop for women navigating the uncertainty and possibility of midlife.

Midlife can be a time when things begin to shift: work is changing, children are growing up, relationships evolving, and you’re adjusting to changes in your body and energy.

Brené Brown describes midlife as an unravelling, a time when some of the identities, expectations and ways of living we’ve built up over the years begin to fall away. I like this idea because it doesn’t suggest we need to reinvent ourselves. It’s more about taking stock, looking at what still fits, what doesn’t, and what we want to carry forward.

Rewrite is a chance to step away from everyday life for a few hours and give some attention to yourself. It’s an afternoon to reflect, connect with other women and see what emerges when you have the time and space to think about where you are and what you want from the years ahead.

There’ll be conversation and laughter, time for quiet reflection, creative exercises and guided visualisation. You’ll hear other women’s stories, share as much or as little of your own as you choose, and probably recognise parts of yourself in what others have to say.

You may leave with some things clearer and others still unfolding. But I hope you leave feeling lighter, more connected to yourself, and with a sense of possibility and excitement about the years ahead.

What happens during the afternoon…

Looking back

We’ll reflect on some of the experiences, choices and people that have shaped you. You’ll notice what’s been important, what you’ve learned about yourself and the times when you’ve felt most like you.

Where you are now

We’ll take stock of where you are today. You’ll explore what matters to you now, what gives you energy, the strengths and values you want to draw on, and what feels important at this stage of your life.

Letting go

We’ll consider what you might be ready to leave behind: an expectation, an old idea about who you should be, or something that simply matters less now. Sometimes letting go begins with seeing something differently.

Looking ahead

We’ll turn towards the years ahead. You’ll explore what you’re curious about and what you’d like more of, bringing your reflections together into a personal map of what matters and what you want to move towards.

What to expect

Rewrite is relaxed and informal. There’s no pressure to share anything you’d rather keep to yourself, and you can take part in the afternoon in whatever way feels comfortable for you.

Some of the questions may make you think deeply, but the afternoon isn’t intended to feel heavy. There’ll be plenty of time to chat, connect and laugh along the way.

The power of community

“It felt like we’re all in this together despite different backgrounds and careers. The need for community, connection and freedom shone through and made me feel far less alone.”

There’s something powerful about women coming together and sharing their experiences. It helps us see our own lives differently, recognise what we have in common and realise we’re not alone in the questions we’re asking.

Rewrite is intentionally small, creating space for honest conversation, connection and reflection, as well as time to listen to yourself.

What women say about Rewrite

“A beautiful gathering of like-minded women exploring what this season of life means. Rewrite helped me understand what matters to me and why, giving me greater clarity about how I want to navigate the years ahead.”

“Rewrite was perfect timing for me. Katherine's facilitation was calm and encouraging, creating connection and a shared sense of purpose. I feel lighter and calmer than I have in years. The guilt is gone and contentment is creeping back.”

About Katherine

I’m Katherine Craig, a coach and facilitator with a background in psychology and more than 15 years’ experience helping people navigate change, growth and transition.

My style is warm, calm and down-to-earth. As a coach, I listen carefully, ask questions that help you see things differently and gently challenge assumptions that may no longer be serving you.

I created Rewrite because I wanted to bring women together for the kind of conversations we don’t often make time for in everyday life, conversations about who we are now, what matters to us and how we want to live.

I hold a Master of Science in Coaching Psychology from the University of Sydney and a BA in Psychology. My approach draws on positive psychology, CBT, adult development, strengths-based practice and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
